ORAL CANCER SCREENINGS

Close to 53,000 Americans will be diagnosed with oral cancer this year. It will cause over 9,750 deaths, killing roughly 1 person per hour.  Although tobacco use puts a person at higher risk for oral cancer, we provide a complimentary oral cancer screening for each patient to check for any suspicious lesions.

PREVENTIVE CLEANING

Also known as a "regular cleaning," preventive cleanings are meant for those who have healthy gums and bone with no bleeding. If our Hygienists find that you have no signs of active infection, you'll be encouraged keep up the good work and will come back in 6 months for your next check-up!

GINGIVITIS THERAPY

Gingivitis is a bacterial infection of the gum tissues that results in inflamed, puffy, tender tissues that bleed easily. Gingivitis is the first stage of gum disease, but if treated early, it can be reversed! If it is determined that you have gingivitis, gingivitis therapy may be recommended to stop the progression before it turns into periodontitis (irreversible gum disease).

PERIODONTAL THERAPY (SCALING AND ROOT PLANING)

Periodontitis, also known as gum disease, affects 47% of Americans. It is a bacterial infection of the gum tissues and bone that holds your teeth in place. Not only does gum disease put you at risk for early tooth loss, but we now know that gum disease affects others organs in the body so it is important to treat it in its earliest stages. If you are diagnosed with gum disease, we will work together as a team, seeing each other more frequently, to make sure we treat and have the infection under control.

FLUORIDE VARNISH

Fluoride is a mineral that is known to help strengthen the outer enamel of the tooth and help in the prevention of cavities. Fluoride varnish is easily applied by painting it on and because it sticks to the tooth, hardly any is swallowed. You can eat and drink right away and it is brushed off after 4-6 hours.
